Physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with special interest in antimicrobial stewardship.
 

Session Learning Objectives:
  1. Analyze literature for strengths and weaknesses of study design and outcome interpretation.
  2. Evaluate potential EHR based modifications to improve tracking and management of OPAT.
  3. Compare recent publication findings to historical literature (specifically study on treating low risk MSSA bacteremia with ceftriaxone).
  4. Evaluate treatment success and limitations of using dalbavancin for vertebral osteomyelitis.

  1. Apply the current standards for inpatient antimicrobial stewardship practice when solving complex patient or system challenges and improving antibiotic prescribing in ambulatory care settings.
