Please join us for a regularly scheduled series (RSS) for rural health pharmacists!  Each of the dates offers 1 live contact hour of continuing pharmacy education & Food!
 
The in person CE will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm (Eastern) on the 4th Monday of every month: (The next few are shown below)

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
 
1. Discuss methods to improve care and promote wellbeing in the context of rural health
2. Review guideline updates for the management of chronic disease states
3. Identify non-pharmacologic methods to improve health outcomes
4. Apply safe and effective evidence-based prescribing of medications in the outpatient setting

  1. Briefly review heart failure guidelines
  2. Discuss implications of pregnancy on medication management and resources available
  3. Evaluate a patient case

Pharmacist Roale in Medication Management
  1. Briefly review guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
  2. Evaluate a patient case to determine if the patient received adequate medical care

Drug-Induced Diabetes
  1. Briefly review the pathophysiology of the highest incidence causing agents of drug-induced diabetes
  2. Discuss pharmacist role in detection and management of drug-induced diabetes or hyperglycemia
  3. Evaluate a patient case - secondary diabetes due to medication

Requirements for CE Credit

Participants must register for the course, and attend the live presentation, participate in any interactivity, and write down the session code provided at the end of the presentation.
 
To claim CE credit for this activity, participants must sign-in once they arrive, participate in any interativity, stay in its entirety (no partial credit will be awarded) and after the event complete an online program evaluation. Please make sure that your LearningExpressCE account properly reflects your month and day of birth and your correct NABP e-Profile ID (to register with or look up your NABP e-Profile ID, please click on the CPE Monitor logo below to be directed to their site). 
 
Completion of the evaluation within 30 days will allow for time to address any issues with transmission to the CPE Monitor.  Any credit claimed greater than 60 days from the date of the event will not be accepted by the CPE Monitor.  If you would like a paper statement of credit, you may print an individual statement or a transcript from your NABP e-Profile.

Please note that this series is accredited for continuing pharmacy education via ACPE as a "regularly scheduled series".  Each session within the series will appear on your CPE Monitor with the same title and Universal Activity Number (UAN); however, you may attend and claim credit for all individual sessions within the series.
